About Me
Data Analyst by Profession, Visualizer by Choice!
Hello!
I'm Ankita residing in the beautiful state of Kansas. Pleased to see you here!

Let me tell you a bit more about myself, what I do and how I got to where I am currently.
I'm a Data Storyteller who is passionate about turning data into visual art. I therefore enjoy working on cutting-edge projects and communicating insights in a way that anyone can understand and make data driven decisions.
I also enjoy spending time on LinkedIn since I follow couple of groups related to Data Analytics and Visualization. I believe this is the best way to stay updated on the latest trends.
My educational background is like a mixed salad with various toppings. I must confess that data or numbers were not really in my radar until I started my undergrad where I was introduced to Statistics. And guess what? It was love at first sight. Halfway through the course, I knew this is what I want to master in. Unfortunately, none of the universities in India offered Statistics as a major way back in 2009. So, I decided to pursue an MBA in International Business solely because Statistics was a part of the curriculum.
A couple of years later I moved to the US where I got the opportunity to pursue my second Masters in Data Analytics and Social Media Marketing. After my graduation, I was fortunate enough to work as a Data Analyst in some of the amazing companies since my background had already helped me in demonstrating:
- the ability to manage my time effectively.
- the ability to think critically in making data driven decisions.
- the ability to use statistical tools to interpret datasets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts.
- the ability to translate data clearly and concisely.
- the ability to present the data visually.
However, I figured out that though I loved doing data analysis, my passion lies in data visualization where I get to design pictorial diagrams which makes large and complex data more accessible, understandable and usable. Therefore, I started educating myself more about the concepts, techniques, and tools related to data visualization and also created personal projects.
